What do strawberries taste like?

Strawberries have a sweet and slightly tart taste. The fruits themselves are very juicy when biting into them.

How do you eat strawberries?

Strawberries can be eaten in a variety of ways either on their own or paired with other fruits and foods. They are often featured in dessert recipes and pair well with whipped cream, sour cream, and chocolate. Chocolate covered strawberries are a common treat that are often given for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, and Valentine’s Day. Strawberries also pair nicely with cheeses, making them a common accompaniment to cheesecakes and cheese plates. When these fruits are cooked, they thicken and turn into jams and jellies. These can then be used in baked goods like cookies or spread on bread.

Where do you buy strawberries?

Strawberries can be purchased throughout the year, but are in season during the spring and summertime. They are sold in plastic containers in the produce section of the grocery store, but can also be found frozen in plastic bags.

How should I store strawberries?

To keep strawberries fresh as long as possible, keep them whole in the refrigerator. Strawberries have gone bad when you notice that they have soft spots and being to mold.

Let them sit in the refrigerator for a few minutes or until the chocolate hardens. Pro tip: use melted white chocolate to drizzle on top of the strawberries for a decorative touch.
